OUR STORY
More Than 40 Years in the Property and Construction Industry
MPF Inspections Group is led by Michael Silverstein, who has worked in the building and property industry for more than four decades. Throughout his career, Michael has gained extensive experience across residential building, property development, building consulting and professional property inspections. That experience became the foundation of MPF Inspections Group.
Today, MPF is supported by a broader team that assists with inspections, reporting, client communication, administration and the coordination of access to properties and construction sites. This team-based structure allows MPF to deliver a responsive and professional service while maintaining the practical standards Michael has developed over more than 40 years in the industry.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Would We Let Our Own Family Buy This Property?
Independent
Advice
We’re not here to sell a property, defend a builder, or push a transaction through. Our only responsibility is to you; giving you an independent and practical understanding of what you’re buying or owning.
Honest Findings,
Whatever They Are
Sometimes an inspection confirms a property is in reasonable condition. Sometimes it identifies maintenance to budget for. Occasionally, it reveals something significant that changes how you see the property entirely.
Clear Communication
Every Time
Whatever we find, we’ll explain it honestly and clearly. That’s the standard behind every MPF inspection.

OUR APPROACH
We Look Beyond the Checklist
No two properties are exactly alike.
A defect that appears minor in one property may point to a much larger issue in another. The age of the building, construction method, maintenance history, surrounding ground conditions and quality of previous renovations can all affect the significance of what is observed.
That is why the MPF team does more than simply mark items on a checklist.

Construction & Cause
We consider how the property was constructed and what may have caused the issue.

Scope of the Defect
We assess whether the defect appears isolated to one area or is more widespread throughout the property.

What It Means for You
We explain what the finding could mean for you as the owner or buyer and whether further specialist investigation may be appropriate.

Next Steps
We identify which issues need immediate attention and which are likely to form part of normal ongoing maintenance.
What We Believe
Clients Need Clarity, Not Panic
Not every crack means structural failure. Not every leak means a property should be avoided. At the same time, serious problems should never be softened simply because they are uncomfortable or inconvenient. Our role is to help you understand the difference.
- What was observed
- Why the issue may have occurred
- Whether further investigation is recommended
- What should be prioritised
- What may be monitored or maintained over time
The objective is not to frighten you. It is to stop you from entering an expensive property decision without understanding the potential risks.
